Thoughts & Inspiration

These past two weeks in Nicaragua have been truly incredible. We’ve gotten to pray over people, cast out demons, work on the farm, and feed people. Unfortunately due to COVID, our ministry outreach has been cancelled and we will be focusing on ministry only at REAP for the rest of our time. The news is disappointing but we’re trusting that the Lord is going to use this time for so much good.

In reflecting on this, I’m reminded that even when our plans change, God is still good and He is still working. The Lord is faithful in changed plans. This is something that is so evident in my team. Since we’ve gotten to Nicaragua we’ve had one team member share their testimony each night. What’s been crazy but so cool is hearing how each person got on this trip. The majority of us signed up for a completely different trip and were expecting to be there right now. The rest had different plans for the next season of our lives. However, God had different plans for us. Over time, we all ended up here, together. We pray, worship, talk, laugh, and just spend time loving each other; it’s been so sweet.

The Lord changed each of our plans in big ways to get us here. Now that they are changing again I’m so expectant to how He’s going to use this too.

I would love it if you could be praying over my team as we enter this new season. I also want to encourage you, that even when your plans change, there’s still a good plan. You will see redemption come. The Lord will lead you to something even better than you could’ve ever imagined.

“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” – Romans 8:18

  1. We continue to pray for you and your team. The Bible is full of stories about how plans were changed for His glory. The truth of Jeremiah 29:11 sums it up. His blessings be with you and the team.

  4. Taylor it’s so good to hear from you. Your message is always one of encouragement to all of us here back home. We serve an awesome God who has a map planned out for each of our lives. You’re a great reminder of that. Prayers for you and your team.

  5. Taylor, thank you for sharing this beautiful perspective. David has been so blessed by how God has orchestrated him into this unexpected season…on a mission trip with all of you, rather than at A&M with all his friends. God’s ways are often different, but always better! Thank you for your love and compassion for your team and for others. I know David feels so grateful for each of his amazing new friends and how abundantly God is blessing your time there. I am praying for you each, by name daily, specifically Colossians 1:9-14 and Romans 15:13.
May the God of HOPE fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
